I know what I deserve, but it is not what I will get. I do try to be a good person. I do try to do the right thing. Many times it is not easy and more times than that I fail. There are so many people who are far better than me in all ways. Even so, we are all going to an eternal suffering!
Except for one thing, GRACE! Grace is getting the opposite of the consequence deserved. Chapter 23 of Welcome to Adulting by Jonathan Pokluda, where he discusses grace from the punishment we deserve.
Memorize and Ponder:
Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.
Is your motivation for not sinning and for doing good generally fear of God or love for God?
